WhySports18 Using feedback to drive programme success
We were delighted to run a workshop session at the recent #WhySports18 Conference in London. Our CEO Paul Roberts talked about why you need a rich source of customer feedback to be able to deliver on programme outcomes. It was a fun session with some really interesting comments and questions from the audience. The slides from Paul’s session are at the bottom of this page.
Throughout the day, speakers talked about the need for our industry to make better of use of technology and to develop a deeper understanding of both current and potential participants.
Understanding your audience was a common theme
Elaine McNish from Swim England talked about how dementia-friendly swimming had succeeded by rethinking the customer experience from the participants perspective. Damien Stevenson from Swim England showed how they use insights to tell a story about how aquatics can benefit local pools and people’s lives.
Lisa O’Keefe from Sport England said “If you don’t design offers that meet the specific needs of different people, you won’t succeed. You need to really understand your audiences”. Lisa also challenged the industry to embrace technology “every day other industries are using technology to raise the bar.”
